Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SoCal Quality Movers ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit socalqualitymovers.com, request a move, contact us or use our moving services. It also describes the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA").

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers and contact details: first and last name, phone number, email address and postal addresses.
  • Move details (commercial information): pickup and destination addresses, additional stops, floor and access type, move date and time, property type and size, inventory, notes, estimates, agreements, invoices and payment records.
  • Communications: messages you send through our forms, by email, text message or phone, and our replies.
  • Internet and device information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how you interact with the website, collected by our hosting, analytics and spam-protection tools.
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address for security purposes. We do not collect precise geolocation from your device.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA (such as Social Security numbers or financial account log-ins) through the website. Card payments, if any, are processed by our payment processor and the card number is not stored on our website.

2. Sources of information

  • Directly from you, when you fill in a form, call, text or email us, or sign a moving agreement.
  • Automatically, from your browser when you use the website.
  • From review platforms, such as Yelp, when you publish a review of our services there.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your request, prepare estimates, schedule and perform your move.
  • To contact you about your request and your move by phone, text message or email.
  • To process payments, handle claims and keep business records.
  • To protect our website and forms from spam, fraud and abuse.
  • To understand how the website is used and to improve it.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including requirements of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and the U.S. Department of Transportation.

We will not send you marketing text messages without your prior consent. You can reply STOP to any text message or ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only for business purposes to service providers that are contractually required to use it solely to provide services to us:

  • our moving management (CRM) system, which stores move requests and schedules;
  • email delivery providers used to send confirmations and notifications;
  • website hosting, privacy-friendly analytics and spam-protection providers;
  • address lookup services used to autocomplete addresses in our forms;
  • payment processors, accountants, insurers and legal advisers, when needed.

We may also disclose information when required by law, a court order or a government agency, to establish or defend legal claims, or in connection with a merger or sale of our business.

5. Cookies and analytics

The website uses only cookies and browser storage that are necessary for it to work (for example, remembering your theme choice or your sign-in to the admin area). Our analytics tool collects aggregated usage data without advertising cookies. We do not use targeted advertising cookies. We treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; because we do not sell or share personal information, no further action is required.

6. Data retention

We keep move requests and messages that did not lead to a move for up to 24 months. Records of completed moves (agreements, inventories, invoices and claims) are kept for as long as required by CPUC rules, tax and accounting laws, and to resolve disputes, and generally no longer than 7 years. Technical security logs are kept for a short period.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, its sources, the purposes for collecting it and the categories of third parties we disclose it to;
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it);
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that require this right);
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email us at info@socalqualitymovers.com or call (949) 969-8343. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide (such as your name, phone number and move date) with our records, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for written permission signed by you and ask you to confirm your identity directly with us.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code section 1798.83 allows California residents to ask which personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

9. Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party websites

The website links to third-party sites, such as review platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
