Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SoCal Quality Movers website and the requests you submit through it. By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About us

SoCal Quality Movers is a household goods carrier operating in Southern California under California Public Utilities Commission permit CAL-T 205636 and U.S. Department of Transportation number 4887368. We are a moving company, not a broker: moves are performed by our own crews.

2. Quote requests and estimates

  • Submitting a request on this website does not create a moving contract and does not reserve a date. A move is booked only after we confirm it and you sign a written agreement.
  • Prices shown on the website (for example, hourly rates) are for information. The price of your move is set in a written estimate based on the inventory, addresses, access conditions and services you describe.
  • If the inventory, access conditions or requested services differ from what was described, the estimate may be revised before the work begins, in the manner permitted by the applicable tariff. We will explain any change and ask for your written approval.

3. Moves within California

Moves within California are governed by the CPUC's Maximum Rate Tariff 4 (MAX 4) and California law. Before your move we will provide you with a written estimate (including, where applicable, a not-to-exceed price) and the CPUC booklet "Important Information for Persons Moving Household Goods (within California)". Your rights regarding estimates, change orders, liability and claims are described in that booklet, your agreement and the tariff, which prevail over this website.

4. Moves to other states

Interstate moves are subject to federal regulations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Before an interstate move you will receive a written estimate, the booklet "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move" and information about our dispute-settlement program.

5. Liability for your belongings

  • Unless you choose otherwise in writing, our liability is limited to the basic coverage required by the applicable tariff, which for moves within California is 60 cents per pound per article and is included at no additional cost. This basic coverage may be significantly less than the value of your belongings.
  • Additional valuation coverage may be available for an additional charge; ask us before your move.
  • Please move cash, jewelry, important documents, medications and other items of extraordinary value yourself. We do not transport hazardous materials, firearms, ammunition, perishable food or live animals.
  • Report loss or damage in writing as soon as possible. Claims are handled within the time limits set by your agreement and the applicable tariff or federal regulations.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact details, addresses, access information and inventory.
  • Arrange building access, elevator reservations and parking permits where required, and be present or have an authorized representative present at pickup and delivery.
  • Do not submit requests on behalf of others without their permission.
  • Do not misuse the website, including sending spam, automated requests or false information.

7. Payments, rescheduling and cancellation

Payment terms, deposits, rescheduling and cancellation are set in your written agreement. Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.

8. Communications

By submitting a request you agree that we may contact you about it by phone, text message or email at the details you provide. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

9. Reviews and third-party content

Reviews displayed on this website are published by customers on third-party platforms such as Yelp, link to the original review and remain the property of their authors and platforms. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

10. Intellectual property

The website, its text, graphics, logos and photos are owned by SoCal Quality Movers or its licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the website. Liability for moving services is governed solely by your moving agreement, the applicable tariff and law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under California or federal law that cannot be waived.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and, for interstate moves, by applicable federal law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last changed. Terms in effect when you sign a moving agreement apply to that move.
